Café Lorenz in Hamburg

The café is very stylish. Service is good too. However, it was super cold and we all ate inside in jackets. Possibly. from corona prophylaxis. Perhaps a better solution will be found here in the future, another small drawback was that the waiter and the waitress only wore the mouth mask around their mouths.

Earlier, with my girlfriend for a coffee chat in Café Lorenz ... Coffee, cake, service - everything was really right here.

Great Cafe! Delicious Italian coffee, the selection of cakes is outstanding + very tasty! It is also very cozy and the staff are consistently friendly. Recommend it to everyone;)

Food and service were good but breakfast was way too expensive for what it was - slices of bread, meats and cheese.

The decor is nostalgic and cozy and the staff really charming. Coffee, cheesecake and carrot cake were delicious and priced in the usual (high) HH level. The only negative note: The children were looking forward to the promised waffles and they also tasted good, but for the last time, because with 4 euros (for 1 waffle with icing sugar) the fun per head was surprisingly expensive. They were thick, square waffles, not flat "heart waffles", but not particularly big. Actually, waffles are always the "cheaper" alternative to cakes, especially since there is neither expensive ingredients nor a lot of work involved. I have no idea how the price comes about. In the future we prefer to eat our waffles at home ;-)

The newly opened Café Lorenz in Margerethenstr. 76 is centrally located in the Schanzenviertel. A really special café. In addition to great coffee and delicious homemade cakes, the Lorenz offers a stylish and cozy atmosphere. The offer will soon be expanded. Then breakfast is also offered. All coffee specialties are prepared in barista quality, with love and high-quality Barbera Mago coffee. The beautiful La Marzocco machine also guarantees maximum coffee enjoyment. This café is highly recommended and definitely worth a visit. The decor is reminiscent of the 50s & 60s. The service is extremely friendly and personable. I immediately felt welcome and count the Lorenz as one of my absolute favorite places in Hamburg. 10 out of 10 points :)
